Educational work towards sustainability is a great experience. What I like best about it is bringing people together and being part of an exchange of knowledge, experience and view points between different cultures. With we4future we have organized various events in which the cultural exchange was a core element. The main idea was to show that allthough coming from different specific local and cultural contexts we all work towards the goal of a livable future. The projects, mostly including skype conferences, were f.e. - the Round Table of the German UNESCO Decade on ESD - the Project "ToM - Training of Multipliers" for students of educational science, environmental science and other disciplines - an ESD Training for Teachers in Higher Education in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen. My main field of work in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Higher Education. I coordinate an ESD university network in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The office is based at the Pedagogical University Ludwigsburg, where I also teach ESD to students in ecucational science.
